Pizza Proper Margherita
Pizza Proper, the original wood-fired Neapolitan heat-and-eat pizza. Slow-proofed dough, made with Italian pizza flour, simply topped with crushed Italian tomatoes and the freshest local fior di latte mozzarella. Baked in seconds in a blazing hot wood-fired oven, ready to enjoy at home in less than 8 minutes.
The dough is made with specialist Caputo pizza flour and allowed to proof for at least 24 hours. This adds flavour and creates a light and airy crust, also making it easier to digest. Each pizza is stretched by hand, topped with crushed, preservative-free Italian tomatoes and freshly made local fior di latte mozzarella (made daily by the award-winning Puglia Cheese company). The pizzas are then baked in our super hot wood burning oven for about 90 seconds, which helps create a light and airy crust, speckled with lightly charred bubbles. The pizza Margherita is suitable for lacto-vegetarians.
The pizzas are supplied chilled. Shelf-life is up to 7 days if kept refrigerated and up to 2 months is kept frozen. Reheating time is between 7-10 mins in a preheated oven, and they can be reheated directly from frozen.
